by sending requisition with self addressed stamped envelop (Rs.20)
of size 23cms x 11cms.
Application forms duly filled along with a demand draft for
Rs.300/- drawn in favour of the Project Director, Society for
Rehabilitation of Cognitive and Communicative Disorders, Thiruvananthapuram
should be sent to the above address. Registration fee or
any other amount once paid will not be refunded.
The
Following Documents should be enclosed with the
Application Form:

One attested
photocopy of the statement of marks of the qualifying examination.

One attested
photocopy of the S.S.L.C Certificate showing the date of
birth.

Any other relevant
certificates proving caste, eligibility under other special
reservation categories, foreign nationals/NRI quota duly
attested.

Two latest stamp
size photo, one duly affixed to the application form.

Registration
Fee of Rs.300/- by Demand Draft.
Selection
procedure
-
Entrance
Test
An objective type entrance examination based on general
aptitude, basic science and mathematics on the lines of
state eligibility test for engineering and medical courses
will be conducted. The marks allotted for the entrance test
will be 150.

Interview
To be eligible for interview a candidate should secure
at least 50% of marks in the entrance test. The marks allotted
for interview is 50. This 50 marks will be distributed in
the following order.
10 - Merit
10 - Distinction
10 - State level achievement in sports and extra curricular
activities
20 - Performance in the interview
Fees
1. Tuition fees per semester Rs.9,000/-
2. Special fees per semester Rs.1,000/-
3. Laboratory fees per semester Rs.4,000/-
4. Library fees per semester Rs.1,000/-
5. Caution Fees Rs.15,000/-
Note: Other additional fees towards accommodation, building
funds, institute development funds and PTA charges would be
specified at the time of admission. The above mentioned fees
is subject to change as per university regulations.
Hostel and Mess
-
Separate
hostel facilities available for boys and girls.
-
It
is compulsory for lady students to staying the hostel and
make use of the mess facility.
-
The
hostel rent and mess charges for semester should be paid
in advance along with college fees.
-
The
student should pay the establishment charges like electricity
charges, water charges, replacement of hostel articles/equipments
etc. every month according to the expenditure under a dividing
system.

The
hostel rent, mess charges and vehicle maintenance charge
prescribed now is tentative and they will be revised depending
on the cost of accommodation and commodities.

The
students are required to submit their application for hostel
facilities every year with an accompanying DD for the semester
rent for their stay beginning from the academic year. The
allotment of hostel accommodation is made on a 'first come-first-served'
basis.
Important
Information
The
entrance test will be held on 20th September 2001. The actual
time for test and venue will be informed through call letter
for entrance test and interview.
Request for change in the dates for tests/interview will not
be entertained. The candidates, other than SC/ST, residing in
remote areas where the letters do not reach very promptly and
who need the call letter at the earliest, are advised to send
a demand draft of Rs.30/- only (non-refundable) additionally,
as charges for telegraphic advice, along with their applications.
No hostel facility and travel arrangements will be made by the
Institute for appearance in the selection procedure.
Selection for Interview
The names of the candidates eligible for interview on the basis
of performance in the test will be announced on the next day
(21st September 2001). The interview will be held on 22nd September
2001.
As the candidates are selected strictly on merit no requests
will be entertained for information regarding the marks obtained
by them in the entrance test.
Announcement of Selection
The list of candidates selected will be displayed on the Institute's
notice board on 23rd September 2001. The selected candidates
will be informed by post or telegram.
The Bachelors degree program will commence on 3rd October 2001.
After
Selection Formalities
-
Acceptance
letter should be obtained, signed and returned to this Office
on or before 30th September if admission is accepted.

The
full fees and deposits should be paid to the cashier before
the commencement of the degree programme. Otherwise the
admission will be treated automatically cancelled. No further
extension would be given and selected candidates in the
waiting list will be offered the seat.

Fees
once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
