and the Society for rehabilitation of Cognitive and Communicative
Disorders to work out a plan of action to ground the training
programmes at the community, school and block levels. |

for every school in the 10 Panchayats in Malappuram district. |

strategy to educate parents, the community and children

100 women health activists in all the villages as well as
resource teachers for each panchayats. |

Orientation training

pathologist, special educator, child psychologists and social
worker. Training to be given to this team for a period of

enabling a panchayat committee to manage the block referral
unit and a harness local resources to meet some of the cost
of running the block unit. |

to develop the training packages for all levels as well

The Society to
collaborate with the DPEP Kerala to plan and implement the
training of health activists and teachers; develop appropriate
advocacy material which could be incorporated within DPEP's
own environment buildings and other community based strategies. |

provide specialist referral service on continuing basis
as well as supervision of the functioning of the block referral
unit. |
